Okay, I need a plan for my job search. I need strategies. I need to figure out what I want my career path to look like. Here’s what I know.
Preferred:
I want to work in an educational setting.
I want to work in the field of IT where I can best use my experience and education.
I want my daily commute to be 30 minutes or less.
I want to work where I have an opportunity for professional growth.
Will settle for:
Working at Best Buy where I can still utilize my technology skills.
**Note to self: I am feeling the strains of unemployment. Being made to feel like a loser by LJ didn’t help. I feel like I am letting Wendy down, that my lack of financial contributions is causing her additional stress. I am stuck trying to walk the line between waiting for a preferred opportunity to present itself and needing to have any income come in. The Bucks per-diem position will offer a small, short-term income but I have to wait for the background check to be done. The Rider position I applied for has been posted since 7/16/09. I wonder why it hasn’t been filled yet? Do I stand a chance? I feel like I can get it if I can just get an interview.
